The List of Necessary Documents

To get higher education at Donetsk National University, international students must submit necessary documents personally. The documents must be verified according to the country of issuance legislation (translated into the Ukrainian language and notarized) and authorized at the Embassy of Ukraine in a student’s native country.

The documents to be submitted for language preparatory courses by the applicants who cannot speak Ukrainian or Russian and need visa support:

  1. Invitation for students to enter DonNU;
  2. Passport with the Ukrainian visa shown personally and its copy with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  3. Certificate of secondary education and enclosure with notarized copies translated into the Ukrainian language;
  4. Health certificate with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language issued by the official public health authority of a foreign student’s country within two months before the documents submission;
  5. Copy of birth certificate with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  6. 6 photos 60×40 mm.

The documents to be submitted for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree by the applicants who can speak Ukrainian or Russian and need visa support:

  1. Invitation for students to enter DonNU;
  2. Passport with the Ukrainian visa shown personally and its copy with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  3. Certificate of secondary education and enclosure with notarized copies translated into the Ukrainian language;
  4. Health certificate with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language issued by the official public health authority of a foreign student’s country within two months before the documents submission;
  5. Copy of birth certificate with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  6. 6 photos 60×40 mm.

The documents to be submitted for obtaining a Master’s degree by the applicants who can speak Ukrainian or Russian, has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Ukraine and do not need visa support:

  1. Passport with the Ukrainian visa shown personally and its copy with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  2. Original and copies of a Bachelor’s degree certificate and its enclosure;
  3. Health certificate with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language issued by the official public health authority of a foreign student’s country within two months before the documents submission;
  4. Copy of birth certificate with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  5. 6 photos 60×40 mm.

The documents to be submitted for obtaining a Master’s degree by the applicants who can speak Ukrainian or Russian, has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in other country and do not need visa support:

  1. Passport with the Ukrainian visa shown personally and its copy with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  2. Original and copies of a Bachelor’s degree certificate nostrificated in Ukraine* and its enclosure with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  3. Health certificate with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language issued by the official public health authority of a foreign student’s country within two months before the documents submission;
  4. Copy of birth certificate with a notarized translation into the Ukrainian language;
  5. 6 photos 60×40 mm.

The documents to be submitted for obtaining a PhD’s degree:

  1. Invitation for students to enter DonNU

  2. Application (addressed to the rector, signed by the intended supervisor of studies, head of the department and dean of the faculty)

  3. Consent to the collection of personal data

  4. Personal card in form П-2ДС with the photo 6X4 (stamped and signed by Human Resources Department of organization where entrant works).

  5. Presentation from the education institution to graduate school (for external entrants) in the presence

  6. Extract from the minutes of meeting of the Academic Council of the Faculty (for persons with the recommendation to graduate school after graduation master at Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University)

  7. Copy of diploma and diploma supplement about graduation (for persons who have got appropriate education abroad — copy of the nostrificated diploma), bachelor’s diploma in the presence

  8. List of published papers and inventions (form 26), copies of awards (persons who do not have published papers until 15 July 2017 give report-extract on the chosen scientific specialty to the department of postgraduate and doctorate.

  9. Conclusions of the intended supervisor for interview

  10. Certification form 2.2 about folding candidate tests (in the presence)

  11. Certified copy of employment history (in the presence)

  12. Passport copy, personal identification code copy

  13. Document about changing surname copy (in the presence).

Entrant gives originals of documents personally. In addition, it is necessary to give 2 cardboard folders, 2 envelopes, 10 files, 20 papers A4.

* In case a Bachelor’s degree has been obtained in other country, applicants are to undergo an obligatory procedure for determining the equivalence of education (nostrification) before submitting the documents for obtaining a Specialist’s or Master’s degree.

Nostrification is a procedure of recognizing foreign education certificates which presupposes determining the equivalence of academic and professional rights, education and qualification levels of foreign education documents to the state educational standards of Ukraine in order to provide equal treatment of the citizens who have obtained a qualification in other countries and wish to continue studying and working in Ukraine.
